I am concerned about Messi's knee - hope it's not hurting. He should sit out mid- week match in case there is an issue. It may only hurt when he is changing direction.

I think the WC is no longer so important and will be even less important in the future. Who is doubting that the best Club teams would beat the best National teams? If Barça can beat Bayern Munich, they clearly can beat the German WC winning team. Ask Messi / Neymar which team is better: Argentina / Brazil, or Barça?

Because Florenzi's goal is better.

And I think one of the criteria is that match importance should not matter. However, since it's the general public that is voting, it's hard to tell whether that was taken into consideration or not.
