As much as I hate him, Ronaldo got a much bigger fanbase than Messi. Even among the journalists. Won't be surprised if he wins it. A lot of them just look at the stats and vote probably.

Juve won the double, would be fairer if one of their players were there. It's just the hype train. Messi wasn't in their top 3 last year, and cr shouldn't be there this year.

That is not how it works anymore, after seeing him score so many goals it is almost impossible for ronaldo to not get nominated. That is why i think neymar has much higher chance of getting ballon d'or than hazard. That is how this shit works now.

I don't know how these awards work anymore. Pique not among the top 35 is also a huge, huge joke. Or Busquets... while players like gignac and bale are.

Robben made it because of the World Cup, and he also had a very good season with Bayern. Ronaldo's season is closer to Messi's in 2011/12 rather than Messi's in 2013/14.

stats wise maybe, but anyone that has a clue about football knows that Ronaldo's story ends with his G+A while G+A are only one part of messi's genius.

Cr's stats are hugely impressive though and as i've stated before i can't even begin to explain them away.

Messi has injured a good portion of last season, why he probably was left out. Barça won nothing as well. Stats shouldn't be the reason for a player to be there, imo. Neymar, Pique, Buffon all had a better season than cr. He did nothing for rm when it counted.
