Adama Traore

I don't know, I don't read their minds or have the ability to see the future.

Only thing I'm saying is that I'm not writing him off right now. I've not written Deulo off either for the record. Just want him to grow a brain to fit the talent he got.

It's funny, because my opinion is nearly identical, with the names reversed.

In Segunda + 5 best leagues in Europe.

Quite an awkward sample, to be honest (counting Segunda with 1st divisions, not counting other 1st division around Europe, and not counting 2nd divisions of biggest countries, if I understood correctly).

His dribbling is one of the best in one in one situation .how to use his dribbling to help his team is just the problem

And IQ, that will be the hardest part to improve.
Almost impossible.

I dont think its impossible, with the right coach and proper experience its something that can be learned. This is assuming he wants to get better but if he does then its as simple as listening to the advice the coach gives you and after a while it becomes your habits. He's never going to be Xavi but knowing when to dribble and when to not dribble is far from impossible.

Also if you want to look at an example look at halilovic he may not be there yet but he made alot of improvement in his game this season because he was put in a position where he had to know what to do in a given situation because the other midfielders weren't giving him proper support. And halilovic is no smarter than Adama imo.

He doesn't need to be at Messi or Xaviesta level in IQ. Something along the lines of ADM would do

who is ADM?
Edit .I think it is Angel Di Maria :hooray:

BBZ is Alen biggest critic so you aren't really convincing him ,and Halilovic is actually much smarter IMO.Also gr8 vision and passing is part of Alen game .that part is missing with Adama.many of his assist is just by his endless meaningless crosses . in a lot of cases he has no awareness who is in the penalty area when he crosses
Look,Adama is too skillful and is very young to write anything off about him .but I am with BBZ here .kid has shown some serious weakness .he has the lowest football IQ I've ever seen in about 18 years of watching football
There are many levels of success in football .If we maintain the same level I can't see Adama ever being a starter for us .he might end up in a good EPL or becoming 4th striker in our front 3 lineup .that still very successful and very valuable for a player from the academy .but for me that is probably the roof for him not the floor

Halilovic is, overall, a much better player than Adama, and even he is highly unlikely to make it here.

I don't think it is that hard to make adama learn "football IQ". He just needs the right attitude and good coach, if he is willing to work his ass off coach will pay extra attention to him because he is talented and young. But if he thinks he is the next best thing since messi then it is a lost cause. Same for any young player. Both coach and attitude matters the most.

Halilovic would be already playing in A-team, if we had no Messi. They play the same position and with Messi minutes Halilovic is unlikely to get enough time on pitch to develop further. That is the only reason for his loan, not his abilities.

Adama lacks awareness, but that's the thing that can be learned more easily than ball control and speed - and in those two apects of game he's only second to Messi in whole team including Neymar, Suarez and Iniesta IMO. I don't believe our B-team was good for his development. I heard Eusebio did not talk to some players for months. That's absurd, young talents need guidance.
