Chelsea beaten by a 10-man PSG. FANTASTIC. If Shalke had only scored one more goal then this week would have been perfect!

 It would have been perfect.
I've read about PSG qualification only early this morning and i'm so happy about it like many of you I'm sure:neymar:

Now,i'm so delighted Chelsea are out but in all seriousness, the away goal rule is quite possibly the worst, least logical rule in all of sports.

You have two games, two draws and according to the rule, there's a better draw between the two.I mean even when taking into consideration, for example,3:1 vs 2:0,it's stupid as hell but it's so underlined when there's no winner in two games and yet one team is the winner.

AC Milan won the champions league in 2003 without winning a game in the semis OR the final...0:0,1:1,0:0 (won on penalties)...and that's your ''best'' European team of the year.

It's to give away teams an incentive to attack

The rule book should not by any circumstance influence what tactics a team should use.

The rule makes absolutely no sense...a first year philosophy student will debunk it in a minute. If you consider that '' scoring away is more difficult than scoring at home'' it's perfectly analogous to say that ''scoring at home is easier than scoring away''.

In that case both the 3:1 and the 2:0 have an equally valid argument...the 2:0 side will argue,we didn't conceive at home...the 3:1 side will argue,we scored more at home than you did.Hence the 3:3 should not yield a winner.

And again, like i've said previously, that's especially underlined when it gets into a weird paradox where there are two matches that end up a draw and yet there's still a winner somehow.

WTF... the away goal rule is a great thing, makes everything way more interesting

What does not make sense is to imply the rule for the extra time though. It is a disadvantage for the team that plays the 2nd leg at home. Apart from that the away goal rule should stay.
