Nothing to do with confidence. We're heading towards the important part of the season. It's about keeping everyone fit and fresh. The players know it better than anyone so I wouldn't think that Rakitic who is a key player for months now is suddenly unhappy.

Hopefully Xavi and Iniesta can do well. They definitely would not start together in a game against the top teams but they should be enough to beat Rayo comfortably.

I would have liked to see Bartra instead of Mathieu though.
