Courtois is young. Young GKs do have these blunders in their career, all do. That's how they improve and learn with experience.

Yeah, ter Stegen has made worse mistakes but he's not a bad GK or anything. Big Dave had some shaky moments earlier in his United career too.

City seem more up for it, I really won't be surprised if they take this, sadly.

Quite an entertaining game, BPL never fails to deliver... 2 great goals

Except for the goals, quite a dull game. Not going to watch the second half; I'll check the highlights later.

Don't know why Kompany pulled out of that tackle, easily could have stuck a leg on Hazard's cross. Maybe thought he might accidentally knock it in.

Only Chelsea players that would give Barça any trouble are Willian and Hazard.

If anything that goal saved the rest of the game. Less chance for Mourinho bunker shit in the second half with this result.

The game's pretty fast, crazy tempo I'd even say. And it can only get better as it's still level. And yeah, I think Kompany didn't want to put it into his own net, he still should've done something, not back off IMO. Agreed on the last part.

All 3 them are great keepers and can only become better. But dont you think mouriho would bench him after this ? Or is he the type of manager who will keep giving Courtois chances even if he screws up here and there (which is natural) ?

Well Cahill got a bunch of chances to regain form before he was properly dropped for Zouma, more than enough I believe. In between some poor performances and an injury, Courtois was also MoM twice, so he has that going for him, and since Mourinho had initially decided to drop Cech for him at the start of the season I believe he'll give him more time. He was fair to Cahill so you'd think he would be the same to Courtois. That said, Cech played well during his matches this month, particularly against Newcastle, so if Courtois doesn't up his game Cech will be first choice again, as we know Cech is very good. I don't see Courtois being dropped for a while though, he'd have to make constant mistakes for that to happen, and more often than not he's been very reliable for us.

Watching this one makes me a bit worried about our tie with City, they are much better than many people give them credit for.
