Yeah I fully agree with Blanc on these statements. Lucho tinkered it to oblivion again, luckily he was bailed out by individual performances. But as a team, we showed no synergy and were not impressive. Our performances are still way to unstable, if we keep playing like this we won't go far in the CL.

I don't understand why Lucho doesn't keep building on the tactical things that he has gotten right from the past games and instead of making small changes to this, he keeps mixing up the entire system again and again - and he does it the most before the biggest games. You can't do that and still act surprised when the players look lost.

Playing a 3-4-3 with double pivot and double AM was somewhat innovative and certainly unexpected. But a much simpler & IMO more effective way to do the same thing would've been to play Masch instead of Alves & Rakitic instead of Xavi and that's it. If he really wanted to pull a rabbit out of the hat he could've switched Masch & Mathieu's CB to deal with Cavani's aerial threat and since he's more likely to cut in, a left footed player would've been more comfortable dealing with that. Regardless we would've ended up with:
1) a better defense, with Mathieu as CB rather than LB & Alba containing Lucas.
2) a better midfield, as Rakitic's workrate would've been sufficient cover for the defense without limiting our attack so much (double pivot is overkill in most situations, but can be perfect against strong counter attacking teams in away games)
3) a better attack as Alba would've been able to overlap Neymar, instead of Pedro who was isolated and didn't really contribute anything of note.

This dude is so unconvincing, even when we get good results.

We played poorly as defence was unorganized, midfield non-existant, Neymar and Suarez were isolated for large parts of the game.

So many problems, Lucho has so much work to do.

We weren't great, but it's hilarious to read all these reactions given that we beat PSG 3-1 in an all important match.

People crying before the season that we can't always do the same old things. People crying during the season that we're not doing the same old things. Go figure.

Especially considering quite a few were saying "LOL we're going to get REKT" when PSG's rumored starting XI leaked yesterday.

Would you guys rather be complaining about how all our coaches start Masche at CB for all the big games. Atleast Lucho showed us a look we haven't seen in the last 5 years.

Lucho should have been hired when Pep left. Tito and Tata exposed our players and tactics doing the same things game in game out. I remember Roura days when it was the same line up and formation every sinle game-it was boring to watch. Lucho could have diversified our tactics so other teams won't study Barca as lab frog.

If he hasn't figured it out by now, he never will.

We'd be giving up the midfield battle in that lineup. I count only 2 midfielders.

Count Messi in aswell and Pedro also acts as RWB/RM alongside Neyboy and Alba so its pretty balanced if players can perform their roles correctly

¡Gr?*cies Xavi!
It's okay he wants to try something new and radical in an important match, but he should at least try out the formations in less decisive matches beforehand. I know he wants to be unpredictable, but it doesn't really help the players if they looked just as confused as our opponents. Learn from this, you stubborn piece of work.
