The risk of playing Bartra and Pedro tonight worked out very well. Mathieu was garbage but overall, I'm happy with Luchos decisions.

Apparently Lucho thinks unpredictably is more important than playing the best formation and getting team cohesion. I can't wait for the next big game where Lucho will come up with some other bad formation.

What the actual fuck !!! His approach to big games is getting much more radical. I burst out in laughter after seeing the lineup, there's just no predicting this guy. He's crazy.

In the 1st half it seemed to work as we kept the pressure high and contained them in their own half but the whole dynamic with Masch/Busi/Iniesta is a disaster. Two DM's did not help us one bit defensively and made us horrible in transition. I'm alright with the 3-4-3 with Pedro/Alba there but pick one of Masch/Busi and one of Rakitic/Xavi. Please Lucho stop being such a big game retard. I would have much preferred us carrying on the momentum of the APOEL/Sevilla/Espanyol system and think we would've done much better overall if we had kept on with that.

This was our best performance in a big game since Man City but we could've done much better. Hope this is a turn of the tide after being killed by RM and PSG early in the season.

Lucho is too stubborn. That was the reason he did not succeed at Roma and was sacked and that is the reason he makes the same mistakes all over again.
Playing players out of position, changing line-ups way too often, choosing tactics that might work but were not tested before and not using his subs well to change the flow of games.

It is ok for a young coach to make mistakes but if the only solution is to act tough and carry on, then there will be no success.

He wasn't sacked at Roma, they wanted him to continue but he stepped down.

I agree with all, especially the bolded part. Lucho got a bit lucky tonight as well, psg missed some good chances.

Busi/Masche/Xavi was horrible last time Lucho experimented with it. Today we played with it again, just chaning Xavi with Iniesta, and it was..horrible.

Mathieu was horrible as LB against PSG in away game. Today he was horrible as LB in home game.

Its like he never learns. We have played our best games with the old style midfield and lineup tactics, none of the experiments have worked.

Laurent Blanc:

"Barcelona's line-up surprised us, but their system wasn't decisive. Their players were."

"It seemed that Barcelona's surprising line-up confused their players more than our players."

Ouch, low blow against Lucho!

better than what we played today, Id have Masch lcb though cos Pique would just get ripped apart if he got dragged over to the wing like Mathieu. Perhaps this should be tried, but you know against a weaker opposition, perhaps in the 2nd half when we are winning or something. Not freaking PSG when we need to win to get 1st.

We have been playing better in the past few weeks tbh ,there is clear improvements and one can't deny it to be fair .2 weeks ago double pivot Masch&Busquets looked horrible against Valencia now they seem solid IMO and it seem both learning to play together in midfield better (5th season and it rarely happened lol) so I would give him some credit
I also want to say I want blame him for all his trials until new year ,a new coach earn the right to try different tactics to know his team better ,I think there is a chance Lucho actually knows what he is doing .the 2nd part of the season is the key to judge him
Saying that while I really can't understand what he is currently doing though :beer2:

He is just saying he isn't outcoached ,though I am starting to think he is the reason of his team loss,PSG can be much better than that .if Ancelotti was still there they would have been far better team
