Palacio was the worst choice from day one. This I hate Sabella for, everything else Thank you coach!

Sabella, just like any coach has his flaws, and his subs were largely disappointing. But whats done can't be undone which is why I'd rather focus on his positives - the defensive organisation, and arriving at the ideal MF. I hope the MF of Masch-Biglia-Perez remains untouched for the upcoming 2 Copa Americas.

A word on Messi. I enjoyed his 2010 performances a lot more than the current edition. That Messi despite a non-existent MF and defence was a lot more dynamic, proactive, with better work ethic over the 90.

Sabella on bringing on Aguero "Lavezzi was playing well, but we wanted to be more attacking & try and win the game that way."

Pretty shocking decision that.

I think this decison defined the match. It was really a horrible call.

Sabella did a good job, but taking lavezzi for aguero was a really poor decison. He should stay, though. Too bad he won't. Any idea who will be the next coach? I hope it's not Tata.
I also hope Messi fixes his health. This vomiting issue is not normal, I'm really worried. He could be in top form in 2018, looking a robben, who was made of glass and now it's made of steel.

Sad for messi but Germany deserved the trophy no doubt, both teams had good chances and both teams had outstanding players, BAstian in particular absolutely dominated the midfield in every sense and JP Boateng, it was like roles between him and Hummel's had changed haha. Masch the monster had a brilliant game for Argentina. Was a bit disspaointed in the ref, especially in regards to first booking Bastian for petty foul and then letting him get battered by some of the players, also that Howedes challenge could have been a red card

Sabella doesn't seem to rate Lavezzi, and that touchline water incident must 've aggravated matters, I don't know. But that was a poor decision, yes. Tata is one of the rumoured names, and like you I'm not a fan either.

I don't know, Flavia. Messi's issue remains a mystery. And 2018 feels too far to contemplate atm. So much could change by then. It took 24 years for ARG to get this far, I don't know what future has in store. Not optimistic about the WC, but I'll be happy with a CA in the next few years.

I love german culture, and it is a Nice country. But the truth most be told: Argentina was robbed. The ref was a catastrophy
And they didnt deserve the win. And lets get rid of the prejudices and bee honest: seeing the german players celebrating Will always give som associations......france....1-0.....through the ardennes 1940.

They sure as shit deserved to win (same case could be made for Argentina however, they were better or more or less on par for large parts of the 120 minutes). German fans have at least as many reasons to complain about the ref as you do (Kramer double bodycheck in the penalty box, atrocious fouls against Schweinsteiger and others by Aguero and Mascherano, yet they miraculously didn't get their well-deserved second yellow).

thx @ DonAK. Good man.

Agreed Ryu, It was a very even match and both teams would have been deserving winners had they converted their chances. Today Germany and Gotze did, on another day Argentina and Palacio might have. There were reasons to complain about the ref from both sides (Howedes should've been sent off but I can understand not brandishing a red card in a World Cup final, and there were a few rough challenges on the Germans too).

Ignore voodoomaster.

Argentina without Messi wont go far in the Copa. I fear he will have a very bad time ahead especially with the many changes in Barca. His hunger will pick up after a while but his body has to respond first. Michael Jordan took almost two years before coming back for 3 more rings. What will Messi do with Barca? It's a mess anyway.

IMO the 2015 Copa will go to Falcao and James Rodríguez. Maybe I can be in stadium to see Argentina lift the cup in 2016 :)

I'd love Simeone to take charge, but don't think its possible in the short term.

Does anyone 've a video/link to the presentation ceremony? I switched off my telly at the final whistle. I want to see my boys receive their medals, and Leo his award.

I don't think Messi deserved best player of the tournament award. Should've gone to either Muller, Neuer or Rodriguez. They were much better over the tournament.

Argentina were actually very good until OT when fatigue took them. What the hell was that with Aguero - Lavezzi sub, I'd really like to know if there is some pressure on Sabella to use Aguero. He was probably Argentina's worst player this tournament.

If only Messi converted that 1on1.

Neuer? Why? Just why?

He didn't face that many goal scoring chances that he had to save, he was bored for the most part in most games. The Ghanian and the Algerian games are the only ones that he was really threatened.

I have read it is pretty much a done deal that Tata will take over ARG?
