they have pep, so yeah that's kinda obvious. possession football is has much about the manager as it is about the players, Tata isn't a manager that preachers possession to the end.

if we were to beet them now, pep would give tata a good beating and teaching

so I take it you don't think Bayern a better team that us right now, and you will some how point to the fact that xavi, iniesta and busquets are better at it than the Bayern midfield

They certainly are, Bayern's midfield is younger so they have more energy to press, but with the ball they are a far cry from the chemistry which our team has.

OH MY GOD SOMEONE ELSE WHO THINKS THIS

Seriously, Pep will want to prove to everyone that it's him that makes the team, not the other way around.
I actually agree. Pep wouldn't be Pep if he was content with just spicing up another manager's successful strategy for some easy wins. I don't think that's what he was hired for either. It's Pep Guardiola, they probably expect him to transform Bayern into some refined Barca. IF he does that, I'm not entirely convinced Bayern are the clear favourites. I do believe Jupp's system was the perfect fit for their squad, just like Pep's was the perfect fit for our squad back in the day. No doubt we declined and Bayern has a great squad with incredible depth, but when it comes down to a direct battle in our own discipline, I still prefer our players.

Surely I'm not the only one who has waited a long time for a team to try and do to Barca what they do to others? Some teams have had that philosophy but not the set of players, Bayern have both now.

True.. but they also have slight edge in Champions League passing stats so far, Barca have 2% edge in Possession because of Celtic and 10 men

To suggest that those tiny percentages can mean one team is "more" of something is pointless. This more vertical revolution which Tata talks about doesn't mean less possession, it means constantly looking forward; even if you don't pass forward. Just always having vertical options.

Their players aren't as good with the ball it's the rotation that makes then a good possession team, a rotation that Tata hasn't either chosen to or known how to use yet.

I couldnt really care about possession i just want Bayern to put the ball in the back of the opponents net and so far they have been successful.

Bayern stats pulling away from Barca now.

Bayern average 70% in league, Barca 65.9 %, averaging more passes per game too.

In Champions league Bayern average is 71% and Barca's is 67.4%

Well, Bayern plays in an easy league, they are leading with 23 points and lost against city and wasnt too good against Arsenal. And still they are robbing the main opponents best players, say title race!! Ok, Bayern is better than Barca, zero probs with saying that, but possession stats germany vs spanish league dosent mean shit.
