Villa got an awful lot of hate. Also no one is discriminating against Alexis, some of us simply expect more from him.

Really? Are you comparing the hate that Alexis and Pedro recieves at a daily basis with the hate that Villa got? FFS! I lost count of how many comments/tweet I read where alot of Barca fans hoped that Villa would score against us.

Plus, although I exagerated, what I said was true. For examaple, I read on this forum that Villa had a great game against us even though all he did was score a great goal and then do nothing for the entire game, except for miss a pretty good chance when he was 1-on-1 with Valdes(although in the end both Mascherano and Pique caught up to him, because he aint that fast anymore, and manage to somewhat block the shot). Yet the same people said that Alexis, who actually had a great game, that he played average/under average. Even though he was the player that dribbled the most, created a chance for Fabregas, was one of the player who made the most successful tackles etc.

Or heck, take his game against Milan last season. Same thing there. I have heard some reporter from Spain say that was arguably Villa's best game for Barça!!!!
And all he did in that game was score a goal..

He clearly wasn't as sharp as past games (the constant slipping, goddamit!), but as you said, still managed to get some good moves here and there... And I totally agree with you, people have different measuring sticks for different players and it's clear some have already sentenced both Pedro and Alexis...

in my book mates villa made only 1! good season in barca and suddenly he becomes the favourite player of many.im not saying he is not a big player but 40 millions +wages for only 1! good season?
i cant say barca had to be happy with this transfer at all....sorry

Villa did get a lot of hate before he broke his leg. Pretty much Cesc and Alexis in bad form level of hate.
