The guardian is reliable. I think we are in for him for real. Where did he say he was open minded about a move? I don't trust it just because the express said so, is there any quotes?

Daniel Agger's representatives have indicated he would be open to a move to Barcelona if Liverpool can agree a fee for his release. [dmail]

Let's just hope it's true.

Barcelona's bid for David Luiz will be maximum 35M, including variables. His agent will today tell Chelsea he wants to join Barcelona. [md]

"With variables" which in Rossell lingo means +5 or +10 mill added to that "maximum" cost.

What would happen if both accept the transfer fee. Who will Barca pick I wonder...

Rodgers made it quite clear that they have no intention to sell Agger so I doubt they will accept any offers for him unless the player pushes for a move and I cannot see Agger doing that, especially after he was made vice-captain last week.

By now we might have to face the reality that we'd end up without any CB this transfer window. We are acting to slow whenever it comes to gettin' a new CB, this late in the window most clubs are not willing to sell anymore.

If we'll struggle to get Luiz or Agger, then I see us paying Mathieu's buyout clause. We'll end up with at least one CB imo.

Mathieu is it I reckon. I think our stock has fallen since we lost to Bayern. Noone seems to be pushing for a move to Barca. You'd think with our pedigree and the players we have other players would be itching to join us but it doesn't seem so.

At 28 years old this could be his last chance to play for a big club. No doubt he has always been loyal to Liverpool but when the big boys come knocking its hard to say now.

Just let him go :p

Nope, we won't :D Lest you pay us 50 mill for him, then I might be okay ;)

And LFC are still a big club even if they are going through a slump right now. The 5 CL trophies speak for themselves :D

I think they've left it too late. We should have been chasing Luiz from the end of last season and either signed him before the Confeds or at least had a personal agreement with him. Even IF he comes now (99% he isn't coming) it will be tough for him to adapt to our style. Chelsea are the complete opposite of us. He's missed the pre-season and it will take him a good 2-3 months to adapt.
