@Messi983. Not sure you commented on it in the specific thread already.

But what do you make of the women's CL game between Madrid and Chelsea.

Mistakes like that don't just happen by accident.

Juan Hernandez is such a tidy little player that I don't know why we don't have the rocket on him at Barcelona.

Contract renewal issues from his environment perhaps?

Because everything else suggests he should be in the B setup and a starter for the UYL side.

Ok so I settled down watching Mali and their little left back Moussa Traore is very interesting.

Very good in the ball and is almost another midfielder when in possession. One to keep an eye on.

Just posted video of that penalty in the Women's football thread.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist so I'll take it as a mistake. Also no VAR to rectify ref's decision.

Didn't watch full game, where there other mistakes as well?

E: I see now there was also a disallowed last second goal for Chelsea when Niamh Charles was like 2m onside.

How did our boy do besides the goal? Also your opinion on Makalou (I've seen comparisions to Kante) and Sekou Kone.

Diarra is hands down their best player and the most mature in the team. He could (probably quite easily) get the ball and dribble his man consistently but he was more often looking to link up to his fullback and interior with one touch movements. Good impression.

Only thing I will say is he doesn't seem to have the cliche explosive pace. If I could liken him to a wide player it would be like more like Ismaila Sarr than Dembele.

Makalou is a very nice player. Drove the ball well, good passing. He could slot in in our academy.

As for Kone, didn't stand out as Mali had the majority of the ball and the possession players were more noticeable.

Argentina with an easy 4-0 win vs Poland. Finished top of the table with the best goal difference but Senegal and Japan have also qualified from this group.

England - Brazil starts in 30 minutes. England already advanced and I think Brazil needs a draw to be amongst four best 3rd-placed teams if as expected Iran (who have played well against both teams) will beat New Caledonia and finish 2nd.

@Porque Are you watching? I'm at work so only following results but will watch replay of both games tonight.

Mali 3-0 after 15 minutes vs Mexico. Barry with first two goals and our Diarra added third.

Germany also scored against the USA.

Saw a little of Mali and they are dominating. Nice finishes for the 2 and 3. Just levels to it.

Switched to Germany and the game is very slow. Busy now though so maybe catch a second half of Germany.

Mali are the best African team this time round. Let's see if any develop to top players as we all know the history of how these things go.
