Sanchez and Fabregas were expensive and their performances have been questioned. The whole Ibra deal. It's only 2 or 3 issues but they were seriously expensive ones. And Milan don't have that kind of cash at the moment

Fabregas and Sanchez came relatively cheap.

Would get money back on either of them fairly easily, while it is still too early to say how much value they will be.

What about signings like Keita, Pique, Alves, Mascherano?

In Guardiolas time his net spending was something like 35m a season, which when you compare to the trophies won is nothing.

Fabregas was £35m, that's not cheap at all. Sanchez was reportedly around £23m plus bonuses but there's claims it was closer to £37m.

You're right about Keita and Pique. But Alves was £23m plus bonuses. Mascherano cost about £20m and we just tacked on an outrageous £81m buyout clause on him (what is he, Cristiano Ronaldo?), and he is a useless converted CB. He struggles to even play his native role because of Sergi.

Zlatan cost roughly £57m PLUS Eto'o and we took a massive loss by selling him after 1 year.

My point is Milan are struggling financially and cant afford multiple types of the transfers I mentioned. Can Pep still build a winning team? I think so, but he won't have the freedom in the transfer market he did at Barca.

Transfers of 08/09 weren't really "Pep's". Txiki held the reins still firmly then. In any case it's a grey area. So Keita, Alves, Pique, Caceres and Hleb should be all excluded from that list imo. Other transfers onwards, except Keirrison (Laporta money laundering) and Maxwell (Ibra's appendix) were all probably Pep's.

Also, Alba and Song are probably more Pep's than Tito's.

Great guys, both of em.

One's hair doesn't shine in pure black anymore, the other's head shines because he doesn't have any hair at all. The greatest job of the world must be incredibly tough. Let's see how Tito will change.

That's a job he might accept. But SAF would have to leave first, and he has given no indication that that is coming soon. Pep is working on his English this year in NYC.

This is weird. Md is speculating as well, but saying Pep might end up at man city, as it seems Txiki is joining them next week.

Summary: Pep left because he wanted to sell villa, cesc, pique and alves but rosell refused to let that happen, according to the agent of Tello.

From AS so most likely major bullshit, interesting read nonetheless. He did after all get rid of Eto, Dinho and Deco as well.
