Good addition. When a player wants this much to come here, I expect to see that extra effort also on the pitch by him, something that has been missing for long time in his game.
Also with Flick's playstyle we need all the extra manpower on the field so we can rest some of our keyplayers more than last year when we ended up being gassed out couple months before the season ended.

It's very clear (from someone who watches every United game, me) that certain people in here haven't watched him play much and are going by out of context stats, his hype in the English media, and highlights videos. His all-round game is absymal, even when he does score.
He's also much better against high lines because he needs space and to use his pace, which Barca won't play against as much. Though they are an effective counter team which suits him.
Even that much vaunted 22-23 season everyone goes on about was basically a burst of amazing goalscoring form from January to March by him. Either side of those months he was nothing great statistically. He's a fairweather purple patch player and people are falling for it.
And he's clearly way down the list of Barca targets but they're signing him because they failed with the rest. Barca are letting United out of jail free here for a season yet people here are celebrating like they've gone one over on United. Just unbelievable. They should have left him to rot there. it's a desperate signing.

He absolutely terrified PSG at Villa Park. He's always been a purple patch player. He will look like a world beater for an amount of time and then can often look bang average for a period. Really depends a lot where this head is at. He's wasted the last few years of his career by staying at such a toxic club.
