Redcafe post on Yamal 👀

"Not really. Yamal's obviously great; a generational talent and already world class at 17, but people are just desperate for a new shiny thing to slobber over. We live in a world that's reactionary to abhorrent levels. We've found ways to monetize hype so it's just GOAT this GOAT that, first 100 matches of him VS Messi, then first 101 matches etc. Just let the kid play and evolve and let's see where he is in 5 years. What I saw from him against Inter was impressive, he's a spark every time he gets the ball, but he also lost possession 38 times in that match. I don't think I've seen that stat brought up once. It's all just glazing.

And yes, Flick's playground footy and La Liga teams being mostly cannon fodder outside of top 3 means his numbers will be inflated. Just look at Raphinha's numbers. That's being in the right system at the right time in the right circumstances. Barca and Real forwards will always have a massive quality mismatch over their La Liga peers. It's a fact, you've got on average a >200 elo disparity when playing anyone that's not Barca, Real or Atletico. You're playing with vastly superior teammates against vastly inferior opposition. Add to that a system like Flick's, where it's practically gung-ho 24/7, and you'll have impressive numbers pretty much all across the offensive part of your roster."

He's being overly focused on every game when he's not even making the biggest contribution in the team, it's quite strange. He's got good dribbling skills and makes some good passes. His shooting has been average at best. He's also playing in a super attacking team and against poor opposition in 90% of games. What's weird is other players in games he's in can have much better numbers and everyone just ignores them and it's just hype, hype hype.

From a Bayern fan on CAF:
He is truly a joy to watch. IMO he should cut down the complaining to the refs a bit though. But that is just a minor flaw.

Barca playing like this makes me root for them over Real for the first time since Messi left. It obviously helps that you have unlikable players like Vini, Bellingham, Mbappe, Asencio, Rüdiger on the other side.

Straight swap for Antony?

Probably he will follow Mbappe trajectory, which is still great. Top tier for today, but bellow Messi / CR7 tier.

You have to appreciate Flick's gung ho attacking style as well which let this dude express himself freely. I dont think this explosion in productivity would be possible with a more conservative coach. Had it been Ancellotti he would probably be mostly playing for the reserves and getting the occasional minute in the first team.

Samething when Messi was absolute the best, fraud utd fans also thought he had it easy because he played for super team and in Liga (while still praised Cristiana) and said Rooney was better because of EPL tax.

Or Messi wouldn't make the bench if he played in EPL or Serie A

I always prefer madriot over fraud utd fans.
