Has nothing to do with Inigo. Flick's defense is the whole team. If the pressing sucks, so the opponent has all the space and time in the world to play through passes, the high-line will always look bad, no matter who plays there. Inigo, VVD, Puyol, doesn't matter.

The physical state of the team continues to be very bad, but that was expected. This will need weeks, if not months to fix. Injured players must return, muscle fatigue recovered.

Lacks all the key aspects you would see in a good defensive line: Height, strength, speed etc...

High line definitely amplifies the the weakness but none of these players are reliable defenders.
