Last season they weren't in the mix in CL btw. They went out in first knockout round vs Atletico.

I'm not talking about the CL. I'm talking about their results under Inzaghi in Serie A league compared to Napoli. Their squad is rated at about 600m, Napoli's is at 350m roughly, and they could lose a league title to Napoli.

That's very very bad.

In CL they did pretty well. Domestically, not so much.
The squad transfer 'value' from Transfermarkt is based on much more than how good the players actually are. They are an estimate made by volunteers of what they think the players will sell for, it is based on hype, age, recent performances etc.

A good example is that Lukaku is valued at 22m and Thuram is valued at 75m, but Lukaku in Italy was considered the best striker in the league during his time at Inter and still is one of the best there. The performance difference between them isn't 50m but Lukaku is older and has very high wages which reflects in the value.

Inter have had a disappointing domestic season however it is clear their charge has suffered by competing on three fronts, they managed a good lead before the last month of games. There is no easy option there for a team that has many old starters and a lack of depth.

Makes sense for Inter to rotate.

They should beat Verona anyway and may well have fucked the league regardless and no longer in their own hands.

Risk well worth taking for them.

1 league title in 4 seasons would be an underachivement with Inter's squad but it's a product of them competing for everything every season when don't have the legs and depth for it.

Is Inzaghi to blame? Well, it's not like he can throw any of the competitions away and say fuck it we go for the league. Maybe if he had more financial support they'd be able to pull it off every season with some remarkable success.

They have had to sell players and not really reinvest all those resources in replacements.

But on paper, they are much better than Napoli.

That excuse only goes so far.

For example in 22/23 they finished 3rd to title winners AC Milan who got to CL semis that year.

Pretty sure Milan was 4th that season, they won the title season before that when they went out in group stages

You can't compete on all fronts without depth and they try it all the time

I stand corrected you are right.

They have the best depth in that league by a long way though and have done across that time.

Of course, in the perfect game for him to start.....

okay, so that probably means Ferran doesn't get a rest, which could be a problem, if Lewa isn't fit to start on Tuesday (but he might be, considering how Flick was talking about him to the press before this game).

Ansu-Fermin-Victor
Ferran

it is then.

Unless we see Dani Rodriguez start, but I don't think Flick will risk that much. Would be interesting to see at least Landry start though, see what he's made of. He seems like a solid hybrid RB/LB, who could be a big help next season in rotation, especially if we send Fort out on loan.

Called up dani darvish and Farre.

He's trying to give his countrymen a chance, he was not been doing well with the B team for two seasons now.

He isn't calling any starter from B team with their fight against relegation.

Those 3 has combined 156 Barca B minutes in April. They don't affect the team that much.

Yea I figured

farre has mainly been floating between Juvenil A and Barca B

Dani injuries.

But at least two those have generally been considered to be doing well.

Darvish not so much, this will probably be his last season at the club.
