My main issue with the refereeing wasn't the red or the pen, both were pretty clear. But the ref got intimidated by Madrid. Allowed endless diving for Madrid players unsanctioned, and then gave 9 minutes of extra time as if Rayo time wasted all half when it was nothing of the like, game was end to end both teams trying to win until the red.
