Lewa is not convinced:

Lewandowski: "Joan García? If we’re talking about his season, it’s been good, he’s a very good goalkeeper. But I think he’s the kind of goalkeeper who, playing for a team that concedes 10 chances in a match, can save 8 or 9."

"At Barcelona, on the other hand, you might face one or two chances, and you have to stop them. It’s a topic I’d rather not speak about too much; I don’t have enough information."

Lewa needs to see him underperform over lots of key CL KOs (like himself at Bayern) to be truly convinced.

In other news Chelsea are looking to sign Mike Maignon this Summer.

Chelsea already have five goalkeepers on their books - Robert Sanchez, Filip Jorgensen, Djordje Petrovic, Mike Penders and Kepa Arrizabalaga - but Maignan's potential arrival would see him challenge for the No 1 jersey with the Blues.

Surprised they didn't go for Joan Garcia.

Retarded logic.

He's obviously sticking up for his mate.
This is turning into a transfer saga where each day is meant to be one day closer but nothing concrete actually happens.

But why would Lewy be sticking up for Tek against Joan Garcia?

Not healthy is it, when Joan is our new keeper next season.

And straight after the Stegen nonsense comments.

Lewa is like that. Was also asked how is to play with Lamine and Rafinha and he immediately included himself in a topic. Because it's Lewa first, others and Barca second.

Taking a subtle dig at Barca potential new player does not help Barca. It helps his friend (in his mind).

It's always Lewa first for him and Barca second no matter the topic.

Lewa is talking about of his ass. We concede far more chances than one or two per match .

Our current GK shouldn't be the standard though.

Better than Tek or Stegen shouldn't be the aim, a World class GK is what it should be. In this regard, his talking has merit.
He might be "standing with a friend " or actually wanting a WC GK.
He spent 8 years of his career playing beside prome Neuer afterall.

Yeah, but one step at a time. Even if Garcia is good, you can't make a jump from Espanyol to one of the best in the world in a season. We take him, hoping he will improve over what we have, and go from there. That's why it is important he's very young for a keeper.

The intermediate step is to be a level ahead of what we have had these years. Then of course he will pretty quickly have to show much higher level. His competition will be the best keepers in Europe, that's the level of expectation he will be judged at in 1-2 seasons.

Don't think he need to stick up for Tek.
Tek is lucky to be at Barca and will have a good time as a backup to ter Stegen or Joan Garcia.

Get paid to chill with your friend basically while living in a beatiful city. There's a reason almost no player want to leave Barca.
