Joan García

There is no World Cup leverage worth most of your salary in the next 3 years while no big club will give you starts. He is better off as Barca backup than going to some midtable German club.

I don't belive that. He has much better chances of playing the WC while being the first choice for someone like Monchengladbach than playing only CDR with Barca. But we don't have the brains and the balls to do it so it's irelevant.

Well that was quick and came out of nowhere or were they linked before?.

They were known to have interest in GK as Ederson is likely going to Saudi. Joan was one of the name that was always mentioned, a bit like Barca.
Diogo Costa was always the one heavily linked though, but it seems he is second choice to Garcia

He agreed a deal with City, but final decision is yet to be made.

Las tres ofertas que tiene Joan Garcia encima de la mesa.
- FC Barcelona (propuesta).
-Manchester City (principio de acuerdo).
- Newcastle (acuerdo verbal).

---

How does that even make sense?

To have a verbal agreement with Newcastle AND a principle agreement with City

It's the same thing. But isn't it illegal to talk to other clubs while being under contract (unless expiring)?

Yes but no one adheres to this when they have the agent of same players at their club.

And it's near impossible to prove... unless you get photographed coming out of the hotel like Stevie Gerrard.

Lastly Spain have buyout clauses which are paid by the players themselves in a technical sense. So they can always use this excuse. The player has decided to buy out his own contract and thus is talking to other clubs.
