He isn't the most famous person ever, be serious. People like Genghis Khan and Hitler are way more famous. He's arguably not even the most famous footballer (Beckham). He's extremely famous though, you're right.

It's obvious why people hate him even without the rape charges. He's a cunt who exhibits every negative personality trait known to man, he's deluded, and he has a vastly inflated unrealistic opinion of himself where he's the best player ever, even though the black pill is that he's vastly inferior to Messi and several other players. He is also totally lacking in charisma and self-awareness.

Add in the rape stuff and, well, he's even more dislikeable. He's just not a likeable guy and most of his fans are unhinged, just like him. You get the odd normal, decent one like Fati, but most are obnoxious as fuck.

That's your opinion. In mine he's 8th best, at most.

He has always made too many mistakes technically. His first touch can be scrappy and so can his passing and dribbling. He leans too much into the physical side of the game for me to rate him as high as 4th.

Clearly guys like Ronaldinho are miles more talented than him, but don't have the career. He's miles down the list based on pure genius football talent, but when you factor in achievements, physicality and scoring he has to be higher.

I have watched his entire career. He's a great player, but outside of goalscoring, I have never understood why he generates a big fuss. I honestly don't find him much better than guys like Salah, Hazard, Robben, other than being a better goalscorer. In fact you can seriously argue they're all more talented than him. Neymar is DEFINITELY more talented. He's got a quite good all-round game in his prime, but there's been loads of way better players in general play. As IniestaGOAT said, he's a 6/10 playmaker in peak. Pretty decent, watchable but nothing special and nowhere near worthy of the hype he generates.

He was also one of the first players of the 21st century to do the 'play rubbish but pop up with a moment and be claimed as MOTM' thing.

I don't consider him a football genius.
