I see that we got too arrogant and complacent, which led to this completely unserious and disappointing performance from all players and including manager. Now looking back at it the presser he did kinda backfired on us after what happened yesterday.

Not that we are spending and getting players we want like any of the top teams either. It is what is. Keeping that in mind Flick has done extremely well so far and last night's fiasco won't change any of that.
At the end of the day Flick is no better than Xavi, who had a worse squad(mainly due to Yamal not exploding yet). Yeah, our matches are more entertaining now and some players have raised their level under Flick, but results wise we are at same level.

Dude, stop it. We were in CL semi final and almost in the final last year. Don't compare Flick to Xavi...

Let malvolio be, he was waiting for this moment a looong time. Coping after every game we win and going hard to find something to hate on. But after this game it's pretty easy

Didn't watch the game, but seeing the result I guess the trashing that was incoming finally happened. It will probably happen again in CL. Flick needs to get his shit together regarding the defensive structure, but he is a stubborn idiot and he won't change anything.

Xavi got PSG earlier in the KOs. And not that I feel we were better than that PSG, but we were also handicapped by Araujo doing what he does best.

Xavi was in 1/4 finals, Flick was in 1/2 finals. Not really drastic change, he's right. If we faced PSG in 1/4 finals last year we would get knocked out in the same stage as we did with Xavi. This year it will be a miracle if we get to 1/2 finals again, don't think it will happen, we saw a glimpse of it yesterday.

It was a fuckup, but I think we'll learn from this. I hope we play a little more conservative first 15 or so minutes, everybody get a feel of the ball and warm up a little bit before we go all in attack. Flick will have to think about playing more of a 4-3-3 against stronger teams away, we can still play a high line and play good attacking football - just instead if the CAM, play a DM:

Kounde-Cuba-Maldini-Balde

---------------Eric

---------Frenkie ------Olmo

Yamal--------Lewa-----Fermin

That should have been our starting 11 and formation yesterday.

Stop yapping.

That was a PSG that needed a dodgy hand ball to finish above Newcastle in the Groups as runner up.

A PSG that then went out of the semi finals without scoring a goal against Dortmund.

The PSG a year later were levels and levels above once Mbappe had gone and whole approach changed.

This is true in large part. But so what... at the top there's room for 4-5 teams at the same time anyway. The rest are part of the chasing pack, and those teams tend to lose in the bigger games one way or another. With our situation, are are far better than we should be.
