Xavi was in 1/4 finals, Flick was in 1/2 finals. Not really drastic change, he's right. If we faced PSG in 1/4 finals last year we would get knocked out in the same stage as we did with Xavi. A PSG that then went out of the semi finals without scoring a goal against Dortmund.

This is true in large part. But so what... at the top there's room for 4-5 teams at the same time anyway. The rest are part of the chasing pack, and those teams tend to lose in the bigger games one way or another. With our situation, are are far better than we should be.
