And yes, Cancelo looks rusty which shouldn’t come as a surprise considering how little he has played in months but you can see there is already a bit of fluidity to the connection in that final third with Lamine. The wall passes and overlapping runs seem natural, just that he looks out of shape - hopefully its that and not his age
It does illustrate for me how little support Lamine gets and how much the RB issue should come back into the frame for this summer’s transfer targets. Would love it to be Ratiu but I know Yamal needs someone to combine with, a partner that will open things up and present true attacking danger. Right now, we just don’t have it and it’s a failure to maximize Lamine’s abilities on that right flank since it would also open things up for the rest of the attack. Alarm bells would go off if he had a legitimate attacking partner for a RB as he regularly could drift in centrally or draw the defenders out wide
