It's been over a decade since that time and I may have forgotten or I didn't know this fact. Crazy to think we could've had the Croatian magician

From my memory, I agree that he was a miscast... Couldn't play anywhere in midfield due to prime Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets and young Thiago.. Remember him playing as a false nine a lot and his numbers were actually good, but that wasn't his position... This transfer was rather romanticized than logical.
