20 y.o. defender from Schalke 04. This 187 cm tall, left footed player started in 11 out of 17 games in Bundesliga this season.
Reason I`m mentioning him is because he was voted the best defender in Bundesliga after their Herbstseason.
Definitely someone to keep an eye on.

So after Puyol and Márquez leave, we´ll do with 3 Center Backs ? :roll: Don't think so, we have 5 in the squad now plus 1 more on loan, and everyday there's a rumor about us looking for more defenders.

I'm not saying we need this guy in particular, actually I doubt we'll be looking for any defenders for the next 2-3 seasons .. but we must have a good look for young players like these, who will develop quickly and will be in a perfect age when we need to buy defenders.

Thats in a few years down the track and when that time comes i would think(and hope) Barca have some good CB's coming though the youth system.

Getting a good defender from the youth ranks happens maybe once every decade, Puyol was a sucess, but we all saw how Oleguer turned out. We do produce some excellent midfeilders and wingers though. Looking forward to that

We have this defender named Botia who is said to be promising, we brought him from almeria a few years back he's now 17.

Yeah, Iniesta.. Bit early to consider Howedes, but I know that not everybody follows Bundesliga so I just wanted to give you guys heads up.

We don`t need him because we got Henrique and Caceres otherwise he would be a great signing. I thought Simunic is voted for best defender because I read the article in Croatian newspapers but it`s probably false Or maybe Howedes is best young..?

Simunic played in more matches so yes they could be using 2 criteriums. Simunic was on of the rare players that managed to stop Ibisevic
