8 - Pedri

Some good forward passes here and there and nice control of the ball.

He needs to find his form both individually and tactically after returning from the injury. Frenkie, Gündo, Pedri will probably be the midfield in most big games, they need to learn how to share the responsibilities.

Loads of opportunities for him to do something around the box but he never really gets in the right position at the right time. So many times with Raphinha driving it inwards I was screaming for Pedri to make a move off the bal but he just sort of jogged into the expected position and was quickly closed down.

Good in spurts. Like most our team last night. Can see he is still not at 100%.

Got the results though which should give a little boost.

CL KO reached. 1st in group all but guaranteed. That's a huge weight off of everyone's shoulders.

Lack of dynamisms and urgency. Also not offensive minded enough.

But the team don't have any plan for Pedri in that role. It's not like other teammates try to combine with him. He is being ignored most of the time.

Hope all can improve in near future.

He was coming deeper today but still as an AM. More to form a connection with other two mids rather than CF.

Looked like Xavi let both FBs get forward and the wide players to try and get in beside Lewa earlier rather than Pedri being second forward.

Suited him a lot more and connected well with FDJ and Gundo.
