But from our point of view, this is probably the second or third incoming transfer from Saudi club taking a player from Europe for free... the starting CB from the Spanish league and cup winners and CL semifinalist... that is embarrassing... make them chuck some 10 mln just to not feel so embarrassed ffs...

You're all are asuming Christensen will miss the season. If he is fit, he is a starter over Inigo. And you're all assuming somehow an older Inigo would have improved at 34-35. Very unlikely.

Many rumors that Dumfries was willing to come here but the club never approached Inter. I guess you are right because if we signed him, we would be further away from the 1-1 rule. It was still worth a shot. Dumfries is an excellent player and could've easily converted Kounde to starting CB

Christensen proved time and again he is injury prone. Araujo is also unreliable. Eric is useless as a CB. A club like this cannot start the season with only 3 realistic options for 2 CB spots and hope for a good outcome in CL or even LL. Not to mention they already are short of both a LB and a RB solid backups.
