Vini has issues in general this season. Mostly due to shit handling by Carlo. Either in terms of playing him more central and isolated, and allowing his tantrums. The other factor being, 80% of Araujo’s defensive game are fouls, which are not given.

Competent striker alingside Vini, a solid fullback, end of tantrums, while Negreira bros start actually giving fouls and cards, and Araujo will crumble like a cookie.

Can see why Xavi has him RB as he is following Peps idea of best 1v1 defenders at RB and he is clear of Kounde on that.

He isnt good enough on ball to be using him to play out as much as yestrday though.

Playing out from back would improve dramatically if had Christensen in place of Kounde and FDJ/Pedri deeper rather than Gavi.

Araujo needs more options to play out ball when that limited on it and Gavi looked like didnt even want ball from defence after he fucked up and lost ball there seconds into the game.
