19 - Lamine Yamal

Some will get angry for this, but it seems that Yamal talks way too much and drains his emotional batteries easily.

I know, he is a kid.
But for now, he is too emotionally invested in some matches.

A few weeks ago, when we won against Real in CDR final, I have seen some comments from him like "no matter if we are 0:3 down, we will win. No one can beat Barca this season."

10 days later we were litterally KOd in the most important matches of the season vs Inter, and he played with way less motivation than vs Real Madrid.

In Nations League, the same.
When it was Yamal vs Mbappe (Ballon D Or battle) or Barca's star vs Real's star, he was again flying on a field and played awesome.

But, the same as against Inter, it seems that he has drained all of his motivation vs Mbappe.
And today, he was again way below his level.
And his team lost again.
He was a non-factor.

I know, he is just a kid.
His attittude will probably improve.

But for now, we can count on Yamal in big matches ONLY if we didn't face Real/Vinicius/Jude/Mbappe a few days before the important tie.

Or maybe, just maybe there are 10 other players on the pitch too who should do their job.

And a manager that doesn't do stupid things to hurt his team.

Fairly we have to say Portugal prepared for Lamine, the team defended sensational against him and even with that team-defending vs him he found space to to get some shots, he is the most dangerous player itw when he gets space. Today the subs killed Spain.

Lamine who was the best player over the two legs against Inter?

All I can say is do better.
In my opinion, he played a hero-football vs Inter.
Dribbling through 4 players while his teammates and Eric were unmarked.

Also, at 3:2, he tried a shot even though we could have took the ball to the corners flag and do a classical timewasting shithousery for 2-3 minutes.

Regarding some posters saying here that this was just a friendly, Yamal said this a few days ago:
"He added, “Because if Thursday doesn’t go the way I want or Dembele wants, then what? You’re voting for someone else who plays on Sunday? I’m the kind of person who votes for the best player over the whole year. But if people want to risk it all on one game, well… let’s play that game then.”

So, he is talking about Ballon D Or.
He is offering bets like: ok, let the Ballon D Or be decided in Spain vs France.
He wins and then he disappears in the next match.

My point: this was not just a friendly for him.
More likely: he lost his motivation too early again.
He played at 150% motivation in one match.
And then at 50% until he loses and recharges his (motivational) batteries.
The same as after CDR final.

How dare Lamine have one off night when he was arguably Spain's best or second best player for the Euros, and also gave an assist in the final :mou:

Sounds like an intelligent kid, and way more bright and mature than many players, including one who played tonight who is 22 years his senior.

I give Lamine enough credit. As Hristo Stoichkov said in English: "Sometimes win, sometimes lune."

Gattuso said it better.
