19 - Lamine Yamal

Lads, he is a winger. He sometimes tries adventourous shit and it doesn't come off. It's a part of job description. And he is 17. He'll be fine.

...as long as he doesn't do it too much like Barca Dembele or doesn't have the facilities to do something but tries it anyway like Deloufeu.
It's not about trying adventurous things. There are several instances where he has the opportunity to pass to a teammate, yet he takes a pointless shot. Or him trying to dribble when it would have been a better option to pass.
I like the guy, but right now he needs someone to talk to him and set him right, and maybe sit a few games out

"Sit a few games out" lol as he's making us worse

The last time he sat a few games out we had one of the most embarrassing league runs in recent history

I like it that you're such a fanboy

You're to Yamal what Fati is to Ronaldo

On topic, all's well that ends well, as long as he doesn't start to slow the game down. Those tendencies should not be nurtured.

Sit him and watch how teams absolutely flood the middle of park and Pedri as are not concerned with doubling up on Yamal out wide as much.

Yeah is our only attacker stretching the pitch. Also rarely receives the ball to feet facing goal. If he did so I'd guess we'd see more goals from him a la the one Raph scored yesterday or Yamal himself scored in the clasico.
Usually receives it on the touchline, back to goal, with two opposition players on him immediately. Not a single other player in our squad is able to fullfill such a role.

Nah I'm not, although appreciate his talent even said I think he should receive more criticism. Just some pretty weird overreactionary claims that I see.

You can either try to find needles in a haystack. Or you can enjoy eating the hay.

People seem intent on trying to find a problem with the guy. I'm just chilling and enjoying watching every minute of this baller play.

So glad he is a Cule. Can't imagine if he was playing for someone else. Would be well jell. :mina2:

Nobody's trying to find anything, just pointing out the obvious. It's actually in Lamines own interest to progress ball faster. He wont be scoring more goals by hogging and trying low probability shots.

Kid will learn. He is 17 snd still figuring out what he can and can't do on the pitch.

Him not running back to defend as much as some others is clearly a decision by the trainers/coaches to save his energy where it is needed the most - in the offensive zone.

He is by far our most dangerous player everytime he gets the ball. There are plenty of games left in the season, we don't want him to be gassed out, especially considering how much football he has played for his age in the last couple of years. He needs to be in 100% condition in couple of months when we are really starting to play for the trophies. At that point, who cares if he has had some sloppy games in January/February.
