That Bayern 2020 team is one of the most overhyped teams of all time.

They completely feasted on a garbage Barca and Chelsea...struggled vs Lyon and were barely even v PSG.

Imo you underrate them, Barca was ok (not in bad form as for example in 12/13) and scoring 8 goals against us is remarkable, Lyon has beaten Juve and City(!!), PSG had Ney, Mbappe, Di maria so they were a good team too. We all agree 12/13 Bayern >> 19/20 Bayern but it wasnt like they just won the cl by luck.

Feel bad for his international stint. The fuck are germans doing. Defense is non existent, japan sliced them easily and stegen been left for dead. Hansi been shit as a manager, and if im not mistaken his tenure as the chief of mannschaft is by far the shortest in their history.

The way Xavi has set up team also helps get best out of MATS ability with ball at feet.

In past this got to the point of being such a strength it became over used to point of being a weakness. Pique when slowed down and Lenglet etc with only Busi at DM were to slow to build up and deferred back to him time and again. Pique knew he was leggy and didnt want to take any pressure and Busi got to point he would hide and point to others very often before taking ball in areas scared his legs were too slow and get caught.

Now with CBs that can move and a FB like Cancelo that can take ball but probably most importantly the two DMs and one of them being FDJ they offer much more options and teams are more reluctant to press so high as can get caught out.

Back to using MATS on ball when and where needed and not as the choice to break lines as the old amigos fucked up the build up from back under pressure.
