Barca have to pay ?200M to Pique, Alba and Busquets in the next year and a half because of the contracts, bonuses and salary deferrals. #

- Wage bill stands at 656 million euros, an increase of 27% compared to last season. The club reports a 518m figure, not sure where the discrepancy comes from. 2Playbook suggests that the 656m figure includes wage deferrals which account for more than 100m.
- Club's forecast of 22/23 revenue assumes that we win La Liga and reach the quarterfinals of the Champions League. I think they will be in for a shock, again. Madrid's forecast doesn't make this sort of careless assumptions, in contrast. TV/broadcast/audiovisual revenue is projected to the lowest of the last 5 years, even if we won La Liga and managed to reach CL quarterfinals, because of the 41m of TV rights we sold.
- We will try to sell 49% of BLM this season to help avoid losses of 200m.
- Won't return to healthy finances without extraordinary income/levers until 24/25 season.

Damn and CL quarters seems to be in danger and LaLiga win.. Not good.

Risky planning if you invest 100m plus take on debt and put it in the hands of an fresh grad.
To be fair Xavi is the right choice for right now. He is the most respectable face to cleanse the remnants of amigo culture.

Tough days ahead. It appears that the current season (22/23) season will be saved by the levers we already sold (namely the second installment, 15% of TV rights we sold to Six Street and the 49% of Barca Studios we sold to Socios.com and Jaume Roures), however next season (23/24 season) will incur a big loss if we don't sell 49% of BLM, especially because we will receive less matchday money due to moving to Montjuic. Also it looks like Laporta has conceded that we are not making any headways in reducing the wage bill. If the wage bill doesn't go down, we won't get out of this hole.

Won't the bill go down significantly with the departures of Alba, Pique and Busi? Can still sell Frenkie too.

I suppose they won't leave until 24/25 and their replacements will certainly cost us money too.
I think busi expires at the end of this season. I wonder what pique will do if andorra gain promotion this season can he be involved with both teams or maybe he will join them on a free

I don't think Pique will join FC Andorra as a player, he will just sit behind the scenes and probably try to cement its place as a regular in Primera (to prove he can do it, if he ever wants to become our president in the future) and watch it grow, like he did with the Davis Cup.
It's possible but what does la liga rules say about him playing for us while owning another team in the same league is it a conflict of intrest etc
