The bigger the game, the more he will bottle.

The anti Navas.

Now, he'll make 3-4 saves v Eibar and everyone will be on his case again.

Last time I checked, the Goalie is in charge of setting up the wall...I mean, what the hell was that?

He and Dest are numbers 1 and 2 in my imaginary hit list now

I'm not sure what he's expected to do when Benz' backheel is deflected by Araujo. As for the freekick then Alba was in a great position wasn't he? Perhaps if he didn't close his eyes he would have headed it cleanly and cleared it.

And we used to complain about Valdes... At least he saved us in many big games.

Out of the 12 years he was at the club he was world class for the most of them . He became a meme for 1,5 years , everyone complained about him , including me . He was trully abysmal most of the time. After that he somehow turned it around and became best keeper in the world imo untill he injured himself when he fucked up his knee after a landing.

He was immense in the CL final against Arsenal and saved us a couple of times.

Don't think Mats will reach Valdes level. Mats is a good league keeper , had some insane saves so far as a Barca keeper but when it comes to the big games vs top tier teams or CL ones he's utter trash.

Yes, he is a perfect example of Mickey Mouse opponents merchant.

Some will get mad, but our team is similar.
Our players/game are a perfect fit for weaker La liga teams.
We have found the best way to win those matches regularly.

Yet in bigger matches, we can't win against anyone.
Predictable passes, predictable midfield, so-so mental strength.

Good enough against small teams.
Nowhere near good enough against big teams.
