Marat Safin also won US Open in 2000.

That's kinda the point tho - it barely happens. And tennis is a sport of the 'aristocrats' so more old fucks go to watch so more likely he'd get booed. But it is very different than even 10-15 years ago.
Forgot Safin won it, I remembered only that time he upset all the Ozzies in 2005 rooting for Hewitt

"What did it take for you to grow after your loss in 2019?"

"I learned how to return slices."

Probably not going to say that, though.

Medvedev should be able to beat Novak at AO too. But it'll be a lot tougher.

He was insane during this year's AO. He just weirdly went into a meltdown and completely played uncharacteristic of his usual playstyle. Pressure definitely got to him.

Maybe with this win he can carry it over for next year's ao.

It would be cool if all 3 end of 20 slams somehow, so we can debate to eternity who is GOAT.

    IMO,

Nadal > Fed (bad stylistic matchup)
Fed > Novak (Novak ran up the score since 2015 when Fed's been a grandpa)
Novak > Nadal (Nadal used to beat him up early on (except for 2011) but hasn't won a hard court against him since like 2014 lmao).
