Great team ruined disgracefully and undeservedly, gonna end up fighting for Europa League again, shame to LA LIGA !

An impressive classic CF display of strength, power, movement and intelligence. Negredo was top notch on the night.. Whilst Medel's unfortunate sending had you on the backfoot, i thought the Negredo sub proved to be more decisive. All night he was holding up the ball and releasing pressure off your team, and he did that admirably well even after you were reduced to 10. By going all defensive for the last 10 mins, and without an outlet in Negredo(and loss of Medel's energy and industry in MF), you invited more pressure on to yourself. Your guys stopped clearing the ball forward, and tried to work through the middle with needless dribbles as thy didn't 've that outlet anymore, and thus resulting in to more MF giveaways. And it was only time those relentless waves of attacks was gonna do damage. Should've left Negredo on.
I thought Alba did a job on Navas, and kept the Cicinho-Navas tandem in check. Maduro and Spahic, were your other better players.
Tough luck, I hope this defeat does not deflate your team's morale and confidence. You've started well, despite playing two of the hardest fixtures, whilst those above you 're yet to play them. Sooner or later they'll lose points too. Don't lose heart, and GL for the rest of the season. :)

I have to say that I am very happy Maduro is playing good at Sevilla. Hopefully will get an invite to the national squad again, rather have Maduro any day than Anita(little wimp). The Dutch commentator made a very funny comment today, saying Maduro looks like a camel with rheumatoid arthritis but then again being actually quick at times :D

Thanks Zanela. Nice analyzing of the Sevilla match... I agree with you on every point. Negredo's sub was more decisive than anything. Yet immaturely, we tried to score the 3rd when we were up 2-0.... like Barca was a mid-table team, that really was not worth it at all. We should have fold our asses up in defense and keep the 3 points.

The season is long and many things can change. In the other hand, maybe the clean sheet in the last games, the undefeated strike and the win against Madrid gave Sevilla fans like me an euphoria, thinking that we can beat every team. How can that be possibly with 4-5 Million maximum invested in a season. That's ridiculous.

Anyway, fans should always hope for better times, and support their team in worse and good.

It was a good match from Sevilla who were carried by their loud support. Kept us in check right until the end and proved once again that La Liga is strong. I said before the match that this is going to be a draw and it almost happened and I think everyone would felt happy if it did.

I think ref did make a mistake with Medel's expulsion but I also feel we were robbed off a clear penalty on Messi.
Thiago's handball he didn't see as he was behind him.

Relieved we didn't have to see Perotti...Tough loss for Sevilla but they are again a force in Spanish football

Just caught Leo's penalty shout in the 15th minute on Medel...Lahoz is shite but the red card was probably a cumulative booking as Medel should've been called for a penalty there...Alas, this is La Liga where referees are as inept as politics

Looks like Trochowski's injury against Barcelona is worse than initially thought...He's flying to the US to see knee specialists, rumours it could be several months before he returns

Mateo Lahoz suspended for one match regarding the scandalous refereeing in the Sevilla - Barca match.... I think this is a joke, he should at least get 3-4 months ban, then seriously think about retiring, before ruining another team again.

come on, this ref is know as being a very very lenient. the players should already know his style thus. and the red was given by the woman (4th official) so blame her. as for the handball, check out around 75th minute where he didn't give the same handball for barca too.
