Two options:
1. Lucho thinks that Gumbau is generally a Barca's level material
2. or Lucho thinks that both Grimaldo and Gumbau aren't good enough for Barca, but Lucho thinks that we are well covered at full backs (Alves, Alba, Vidal, Mathieu, Adriano, xx some other options, Vermaelen maybe if needed), so he doesn't count on Grimaldo in any way.
On the other hand, with midfielders we have "only" Rakitic, Iniesta, Roberto, Rafinha + Busi and eventually Masch.
-- so, maybe Lucho thinks that we need an extra man/option in midfield, and he trusts the most in Gumbau currently

More or less, it is sometimes irrelevant who is actually a better player (Grimaldo or Gumbau), when we are well covered on some positions, or at least Lucho thinks that we are well covered on some positions.
Also, Lucho probably doesn't see Grimaldo as a central midfielder, and he doesn't rate him too high for a left back or a left attacker (Ney's position)

++ Also, I forgot Rafinha in the post above, where I was counting how many players we already have...

You also forgot Samper, who is also on tour with the first team.

Let's be real here for a moment, Gumbau is not Barca material. He's just there to fill in the gaps.

Gumbau is DM and DM is our strongest position with Busqets, Masch and even Roberto.

Maybe he thinks he can make a "proper" DM from Gumbau, someone who is good with the ball and good defender both in the air and one the ground. Mascherano is too short and aging and Bsuqets is even worse than him in the air.

Hands off! Unless it's a loan only, so he'd could do Barça a favor. But that's not bayern's MO.

Guardiola has personally told Adama he want him at Bayern. No formal bid yet. Barcelona open to listen to offers, permanent or loan. [rac1]

Fuck Guardiola. He should really get his dirty hands off our players and stop his shit.

I am more distressed that our club is willing to listen to offers. Bayern will not accept a loan deal, if they take him it will be permanent with no buy-back option.

Why should he go to Bayern anyway? Robben, Mueller, Douglas Costa, even Lahm can all play RW and are ahead of the pecking order.

Why not ,we aren't gonna use him .Lucho doesn't rate him
He basically has no future here ,Pep could get the best out of him while we get money we aren't gonna get if we keep loaning him in teams he doesn't fit like we did with Deulofeu

Lahm, Müller and Costa are not long-term solutions on the right wing since their strengths lie elsewhere. Robben is getting older and who knows how long he's going to be able to perform on the highest level. Adama would be a great replacement for Robben and probably would fit right in Bayern's system.

Bartomeu did say selling players from la masia helps the club. Maybe he thinks 15m for Adama is good business.

It's excellent business. 15M € for a completely unproven player? What more do you want? Even Gerson could be considered more proven than Traore.

Would be surprised/happy enough if they wanted to pay anything close to 15m for Adama. He just doesnt look anywhere near ready for first team football.

Shut your mouth and watch your language please. Barto and Rosell sell youth players to balance the books. Not Guardiola's fault that Adama is nowhere near the first team in Barcelona. If the deal is done than Barto will come out saying 15M for a B-team member is amazing business, just like he did with Thiago.
