Luis Enrique: "I have had no doubts about Busquets. He has to be on the list. Trust in him is maximum. For me, he is still very important player. he is the guy who always adds."

#LuchoIN

Unbelievable. Why is he rated so highly? Sure he might be useful if rest of the players can run but otherwise disaster.

Busi is the vice captain. Maybe Lucho is doing what we want to do, keep Busi but use him for his experience and leadership.

Don't think he'll start for Spain.

Busi is not a leader. And you don't need him when you have freakin Sergio Ramos as a captain, lol.

Busi automatically becomes a leader with his experience. Look at the guys in the squad, they've won close to nothing of note together.

I'm sure Ramos appreciates having Busi there as a familiar face in an otherwise underwhelming squad. Leaders can be different and in this case I think they complete each other well.

What do you think is Spain's strongest lineup?

Don't follow most of these players but if I had to make an attempt I'd say:

-------------De Gea
Carvajal-Ramos-Garcia-Reguilon
------Thiago-F.Ruiz-Olmo
------Adama-Rodrigo-Oyarzabal

Not convinced by that front line.

Think that's the best you can do with that current squad.

The front line really is not convincing.

Pau Torres ahead of Garcia, Regulion LB and maybe one or both of Asensio/Torres out wide.

Spain production like has slowed down a lot.

England are producing better players.

Maybe Asensio could be there when he is in topform

Maybe Merino as a DM to utilize Fabian further up the pitch.
Garcia is probably 4th CB in that list, at least for now.

Wingers are very hot and cold. I don't think there will be a set pair in the foreseeable future.

My thought exactly as well. I think Busi has been called up to provide experiences in the locker room and training sessions.
He can offer tactical discussions for Lucho as well just like the relationship between Del Bosque and Xavi.
His actual performance on the field is trash now but his footballing mind is still genius.

The days were all of Spain NT consisted of Barca & Real top players and dominated the world are long gone.
Spanish talent has dried up after so much quality years. It's evident by the level of La Liga that it's gone downhill.
They will come back though, all teams have cycles.

Rodrigo is a really mediocre striker. Fernan isn't lighting it up either , wouldn't mind seeing Ansu in the second half.

Thiago best player of Spain so far and Fabian Ruiz had some good moments too.
