Canada isn't as good and they don't play well against a good team that is okay with giving up possession. Canada is better suited to playing on the counter. Also Alphonso Davies is trying to play hero ball too much and team play is suffering. He is much better than his teammates but he has got to trust them instead of trying to do it all himself.
