9 - Robert Lewandowski

He's on 24m gross per year now and he reportedly want 30m+ and a longer commitment than 2-3 years.

Yeah, no big club is giving this, especially in a league like the EPL or to a lesser extent LL. Only league Lewa could continue to thrive in in 4 years and beyond is Serie Zzzzz.

The last couple of months should have reminded people it's all about team structure, and players with the right profile anyway, rather than star names that people can get excited about on the internet.

It's about perspective too. Signing Salah or Lewandowski to a let's say 4 year contract on 30m per year sounds great, but what's the point unless the team is ready to win CL titles now?

I'm not confident we'd be ready to win a CL title even if we sign any of them. A lot of our younger players are still inexperienced and need to improve to thrive in the latter stages of a KO round.

If you're a win-now mode it's probably worth it, but when you're still rebuilding and possibly two years away what is the point? They might be washed up when you have the team ready

Where do you have Salah ranked among Liverpool legends? You all are a curious case as a club, to be honest, having achieved so much without any out and out all-time greats (like top 25 players in history). Bayern is not necessarily comparable either as they have an easy top 10 all time (Franz), and an easy top 20 all time (Muller), along with legends like Lewa, Neuer, Lahm, Bastian, KHR, Breitner etc.

Salah over Stevie? Over Rush?

Daglish and StevieG are the biggest legends.

Salah is above Suarez and Torres now.

Salah, VVD are the same level. Modern day Liverpool greats.

I rate VVD's impact higher than Salah's. Without VVD we'll be fighting for Top 4

So, this guy gets to play nothing but EL-opposition until the semis...

He was always a flat track bully. The only game where he scored against an equal opponent was against you guys while he was at Dortmund. Just go and look at Bayerns opponents in the CL when he scored. He was a flop against Liverpool 2019, Real 2017 and 2018, Atleti 2016, and Barca 2015.

Both Real matches, Liverpool and the first leg of the Atleti match in 2016 Bayern played in a 4-3-3 and M?ller did not start - Bayern in a 4-3-3 with 3 midfielders never was any good for their attack - Barca 2015 he played with mask after he got injured in the Dortmund Cup match and Bayern had a lot of injuries and a midfield that just came out of injuries.

I remember him scoring a banger against Barca with his mask on.

He shuffles the ball in his feet and side footed it into the corner. The goalie didn't even move

yeah.

He has already hit the 15 mark before.

Had 15 g 7a in 9 games in 2020 CL iirc

Bayern probably gonna have to make it past Liverpool into the final at least to make it happen. Although if he really goes nuclear against Villarreal, one or two goals in the two legs against Liverpool and getting knocked out could still be enough.
