I'd like to see Xavi with the B team before he takes reigns as the coach.
1)Amigos will be gone and he will start with a clean slate.
2)If Xavi can't do it with the B team he is not cut out for the first team. Both Pep and Lucho proved themselves with the B team before taking the big step up.

Do what with the B team? What are the objectives he'd need to meet? Barca B is a developmental team, first and foremost, many better places to prove his worth than in Segunda B. On top of it, the club seems content with Pimienta who does well with the squad and has the right objectives in mind.

Would be perfect for Xavi to coach somewhere in Spain, imo.

Wow he's done

Mateu Alemany and Rafa Yuste, Laporta's top men in the sporting area, do not want Koeman to continue at Bar?a next season. If the manager stays, it would likely be because Koeman could win the double and the president succumbed to external pressure.

Real was extra lucky this game.
1) International games really messed us up as always.
2. First goal is comedy from mats.
3. Second goal is pure luck.
4. Messi corner.
5. Messi through ball, alba messing the cross.
6. Dembele could not hit the ball.
7 Weather didn't help to play football. It was better for distruction and counters, reals game.
8. Last chance...

It was a perfect Storm, what can you do.

Pretty simple. Emulate Pep and Lucho.
Xavi just going to some liga club is not going to prove much.
Him going to Arsenal would be great. A big club with pressure but not big expectations. Ideal imo.

Sacking Koeman is wrong. Firstly he wasn't given any players and second we will have more instability. Sacking the coach is just the easy way out. He deserves another season if he wins something imo.

Thirdly, the football never looked this promising in seasons.

Xavi has only managed in Qatar. The level is lower there than Segunda.
Let Xavi gain some experience and than he can come.
Naglesman here would be a disaster. He'd be out of his depth. I don't even think Tuchel would be a good fit.
Don't be surprised if Laporta settles for an underwhelming choice like Blanc.

Every working system will sooner or later be figured out by someone. Zidane did a good job doing so. He was the first to exploit the weaknesses of it and now every La Liga team knows that a low block is the answer to nullify Dembele. What I like is that Koeman isn't afraid of changing formations during games when something isn't working. With some other managers from the past this game would have been even worse.

The problem is, which system is the answer for the rest of La Liga? 4-3-3 requires wingers as wingers on the wings. This ensures our full backs don’t push forward all the time providing more defensive stability to our back line. If Koeman is gonna play Griezmann on left then we will again be one game away from someone exploiting our weakness and a potential disaster class.
Similarly 4-3-3 demands your DM to be extremely mobile. Playing Busi puts more defensive load on FDJ and Pedri thereby reducing their attacking output which in turn leads to Messi dropping deep to receive balls.
We first need to get out of this habit of forcing players in unwanted positions. For a 3-4-3 or a 4-3-3 you need two proper wingers. As Koeman doesn't seem to trust Trincao enough, we will be stuck with Messi and Griezmann and none of them is a winger anymore and none of them is a #9.

True. At least this Barca is fun to watch. We've been garbage for years. (Outside of Messi )

Except when they play against a top team. Losing almost every game you play against a comparable sized club is not so fun to watch. Managed to even lose the first place in CL to a mediocre Juventus, even a Ronaldo-less one.

Xavi is probably too "proud" to go to a midtable La Liga team. OTOH there are also no clear jobs waiting for him right now.

I think Villarreal would be the best fit for him but don't know if they're ready to ditch Emery for an inexperienced Xavi. Lopetegui is doing great for Sevilla so he's not going anywhere, the same for Pellegrini and Betis or Sociedad who have no reason to replace Alguacil but if they will they'll surely give a chance to Xabi Alonso (who is coaching their B team and knows the club inside out) way before Xavi.

Valencia is also far from a great destination for any coach right now but if he'd go there and do well then I'd believe he's ready for Barca.

And I don't see Xavi at a club like Getafe who could part their ways with Bordalas this summer. He could potentially do well with likes of Alena, Cucu and Kubo (if they'll stay there) but the rest of their team just doesn't fit into Xavi's football philosophy so they'd need to change too much to get him and they don't have resources for that.

Celta could be an option too although Coudet is doing solid and they don't really have good past experience with "Barca DNA" coaches. Sure, Lucho did well in his only season in Vigo before coming to Barca but he's probably the furthest away from a true Barca DNA coach. OTOH Eusebio didn't do to well when he led Sociedad still in Segunda, and Unzue and Oscar Garcia also weren't good for them in La Liga.

So it's easy to say he should get La Liga experience but much harder to find the right club who would believe in Xavi as a coach enough to give him a chance knowing he'll most likely be there just for a season or two at most before he'll inevitable go to Barca. Unless he'd flop there hardly which would make Barca reconsider hiring him but obviously the club that would employ him wouldn't really want to see that.

Xavi has 0 incentive of going to another club to 'prove' himself. He's already been offered the Barca job by Bartomeu and Font. He knows that if he waits patiently, he'll get it sooner or later, especially if Koeman is sacked.

Which is pretty bad tbh. It feels like Xavi is already at the top of the list of successors. He's not had to fight (managerially) to get there and proven to be the best candidate by showing what he's achieved. He's rather there thanks to his playing career and people hoping he'll turn out to be the next Pep.

Xavi chilling in mickey mouse Qatar league until Barca come calling. If he coaches a smaller team in Spain and gets exposed that would ruin chances so you cant blame him laying low and racking up wins in that shit league.

Rijkaard got relegated with a smaller team, doesn't manage for a year then two years later he wins the league Champions League double with Barca.

In contrast, managers have shined at smaller clubs and then buckled at big clubs. Not everything is linear.
