Newcastle would give Overmars and Ten Hag a blank cheque to get them.

1-They can't
2-Already said they won't do it.
3-If they are willing to give someone a blank cheque, would they give it to Overmars and Ten Haag? I mean it is clear by choosing those 2 that this aren't their intentions.

Teams already voting to change rules regarding related sponsorships also.. which only City and Newcastle opposed.

City didn't vote actually, because their lawyers told them that the voting is illegal and won't stand in court.

A blank cheque was a figure of speech. :)

Compared to a club who cannot give them financially anything- figure of speech, to a club that will give them everything - figure of speech - they choose the latter. :)

City are opposed to it. Voting or not.

They agreed with Newcastles stance.

The opposition the Saudis get from other PL clubs will thwart the progress at Newcastle for some time. In the end they will find a workaround like PSG do in France.

PSG can make the UCL all the time, Newcastle gonna have a hard time getting CL money.

They should have picked a team from spain like valencia or somthing.

They want exposure in by far most popular league.

No one cares about Spanish football unless Real/Barca playing and even then not what it was.

The EPL is full of billionaire/multi millionaire owners for that reason and next to none of them look to Spanish sides.

For LL fans that is a harsh statement. But one that appears correct.

Barcelona's Dutch manager Ronald Koeman, 58, will find his position in danger if his side fail to win all their next three games. (Marca)

Bullshit. If he wasn't fired after the disaster against Benfica and the Clasico loss, it's clear that the only way he gets fired is if we don't make it out of the CL group...but then it would be too late in my book anyway, with the damage and the humiliation of Barca playing in the Europe League already being done. So hopefully we somehow make it to top 4 in the league to qualify for next season, while make it out of the group this season and lose somewhat respectably in the round of 16 with this idiot in charge.

We've already smoked that cigarette once this season.

He took 4 points vs Cadiz, Levante and Benfica and it was deemed enough.
Rayo, Alaves and Kyiv are tough opponents, two of the teams have started the season better than Barcelona.

IMO. Laporta gave up this season already. He knows there's no money to sack Koeman and he doesn't trust him to do that great job. Basically this season is write off. Our goal is to make top4 and potentially out of the group stage CL. That would be big win. Laporta knows this.

Next season Laporta can get rid of Koeman and make few signings. Start fresh with new coach and new players.

Konrad de la Fuente today poured gasoline on the "Barcelona doesn't train enough" discussion."I immediately noticed the difference in training compared to Barcelona, especially in the pre-season. It was crazy."
We had two workouts, we had to be on the spot at 8, and I got up at 7. Classes went on for 2.5 hours, then another hour in the gym. Plus we had long matches after training. And then we studied after lunch. No days off in the middle of the week. It was tough”
There was a discussion that they are all professionals. But it looks like the workouts are really light.
