3 - Gerard Pique

Pep wanted him gone in 2012 as he could see his focus was wavering. Like people have said, Lucho was able to get one last tune out of him but bar the odd good moment under Valverde in 2018 he's been a semi-retired player since.

This guy will NEVER retire. Can't believe that he and Busi have no shame at all. The will completely ruin their legacy here if they don't leave or retire in summer

So I get Eric isn't perfect but it's hilarious he gets dropped while we are still being subjected to watching Pique make the same mistakes over and over again and still gets to keep his spot.

Really? The guy said he will be the first to step aside after the 8-2 humiliation and then went on to sign the contract that Barto offered. Then, once Barto was gone, he goes on twitch to shit talk him. This guy is the biggest fraud we have in the squad. An absolute snake

Issue is that Eric gets eaten alive against teams like Bayern, He wouldn't have fared any better as previous games have demonstrated.

We had the best defence in the world 2017

 you are the biggest troll on here. Barca?s attack was it greatest defense during that timeframe . Defense has always been sloppy even back during the treble run. It was only due to a workhorse midfield and an insane attack that created blowouts that the team?s defensive liabilities remained hidden until 2017 when teams figured out MSN and MSN themselves got sloppy

No doubt Pique would have been on the chopping block under Pep and about as good as gone if that idiotic board would have backed Guardiola instead of pushing him out. He was a disaster in 2012 and the main reason why the defense that year leaked many goals. Such an airhead and a clown, pity about his talent.

He hold it together as long as he had aces and natural leaders around him like Puyol and Mascherano.

Pep was rumored to want the club to sell Pique, David Villa, Fabregas, and Alves. He was pretty spot on about all bar maybe Alves. David Villa and Fabregas were gone soon after him.

I find it pretty astonishing that Pep sensed the dangers of this team losing motivation and complacency setting in as early as 2012. Here we are 10 years later reaping the consequences of not doing anything about that in a decade.

This guy's head is not here, he should just quit and be the full-time businessman promoting his Davis Cup, FC Andorra and that eSport club he formed with some guy called Ibai or whatever his name is.
