You have to be a moron to have a player in front of you and just take yourself out with a dumb pseudo-tackle instead of trying to close him down.

He was involved in the goal. That little pass to Gavi came from him.

Also, these Granada players were some dirty fuckers and went down on every opportunity.

Would have preferred Araujo up front and Pique at the back. Doesn't speak for the squad if a coach feels forced to sub a CB to play CF.

People forget that Pique has often played as a forward. TBH, he's not a great header of the ball but he's actually scored some great goals in the box even as CB.

Pique doesn't deserve half the shit he gets. He's a true club legend. Even in our humiliations recently he was never the weak link (apart from PSG home last season). Heck, Varane had more disastrous big games in the last few years. Problem is that people somehow think he needs to be this great leader, which could be a decent point, but then again that won't magically make Lenglet, Semedo and co. good defenders.
