Everyone knows what matters to them is distance covered numbers and not all the times he dug them from holes even while playing injured :facepalm1:

My point is that he's not a natural leader... he might be the best player in the world and he might have saved the team on countless occasions but the captain is a role model for the whole team in leadership, commitment and motivation and if the players saw their captain strolling around half the time they would feel like idiots.
