But we wouldn't of just bought player, he would of boosted our profile in football. The added media attention and new sponsorship would reclaim alot of that £100 million.

If our arabs want to spend 100+ million of their money on a player, who they believe is worth it, who are the media to say they shouldn't?

since your coming from a nobody statues in the world of football .. people ridicule you

you have to understand big players are either interested in projects or a high profile top clubs with history..
Kaka was given how the project will be.. he liked it and signed.. Real boost a great history .. City don't.. Kaka signing for city will be seen as a pure money move (like Robinho ) .. Kaka joining Real was seen as part of the new galacticos..
now you may agree or disagree with the galactico project.. but they are building a team to compete with other top dogs and win the Champions league.. city project is a long run and you have no clear direction.. you are waiting for the leftovers or player in a condition like Tevez owned by a man not a club who will be willing to accept more money

your team hold Robinho as a marquee name ( and some may argue he is not a big one yet which he isn't ) but that's about it.. no Europe no plan..and above all a manager who's history in Europe is non-existent ..
when Chelsea was bought and moved from their top 6 statues (and regular European football ) to title ambitious team they got a manager to get that..
how would Kaka(or any other big name ) be trained by a man who's European pedigree is zero ? a keeper was good reputation but hardly a big name.. a defense consisting of a very promising Micha Richards.. a midfield of a defender turned DM Kompany a non playing Elano and Petrov .. add Robinho and you have a project that looks promising for Javier Saviola not the kaka's the villa's of the world today
you won't boost your profile in football by big names..when you are playing in a top league.. create a distinctive style first then be competitive .. the same way chelsea did before you.. then start looking for such names

I don't think anyone can say City don't have a top class keeper either.

Also Beast Ireland was far more consistent than Robinho last year and definitely outshined him from Xmas onwards.

Beast jealous another team able to make ungodly offers for players

we are on a different level entirely ... we can make the same bid for a player and he will chose a cheaper offer from Real or Barca , Man U , Inter,Juve,Arsenal,Chelsea if entered a bid for the same player.. he will chose any of the big teams ..

good not class and now top 4 starter class.. he is a hard worker but hardly make you awe from his quality

beast, he would not look out of place in any of the top four sides. well, except liverpool coz they'd have nowhere to play him so he'd have to start wide. but he'd certainly get in the team for the other three.

he's a great player. not as consistent as he may be, but he's playing in a joke of a team.

I think he's good enough to play for a top four club. He was the young player of the season, in my opinion. Not 'avin' that Ashley Young bollocks.
