My head hurts from this post.

Well... The thing is that in one he is right... All this money will have to be payed at some point.

Laporta ia just postponing the inevitable... Debt must be paid. At some point. Ok, from my point of view 35-40-45-50m is the same shit. Players could say for sake of "helping the club" gimme 35 instead of 40-45-50... But that is their, not mine, money.

Laporta needs to know that he is on glass legs here...

Delaying payment is always better than paying that shit right now

I don't know where this notion that we don't or won't pay wages comes from. We're trying to pressure certain players into accepting cuts or leaving but if they stay or refuse, they'll get paid every penny owed.

We don't need levers to pay deferred wages, we'll be able to do it from our normal revenue when the time comes. We used the first lever as it allowed us to close the year with profits, and the second lever will reverse the net worth situation created after losses during the pandemic. They also enabled us to spend significantly this summer, freshen the squad.

We sacrificed a chunk of our future revenue for it and we hope to make up for the losses with growth in other areas. Easier done with better squad.

It's a way to hurt Barca now. We are broke, no money, can't pay salaries etc.

EZ for the haters to shout from the mountain top.

Haters gonna hate

Well, they have an issue even with doing that it seems.

For some clueless fans, football is a player-power game, a one way street where footballers can be paid tens of millions and they can deliver poorly for those money and no one will hold them accountable.

It's a result of supporting sugar-daddy clubs. There's no problem for United and their fans for example if Pogba is paid royally and he gives them shit on a stick football in return. Their billionaire Glazer family will cover the loss from their extremely deep pockets and that's it.

Bad deals like that, especially several of them at once, affect clubs operating on fan owned model a lot more seriously. Barca function on a model of high expense high return with low margin of error. So when the expense is high and the return is low, shit will hit the fan. The players should know this by now. If you come to Barcelona and play poorly the club will try to move you or get rid of you. Those who are not confident they can deal with the pressure should not come in the first place. The club is clear about trying to be the best.

They can't understand this because they are ignorant. Barca and Madrid are well in their right to do everything legally possible to move on players who don't deliver at the level they are paid. Of course, it's bad management that brought Barca here, because you never should pay big up front except when you are 100% sure the player will deliver the goods. Frenkie promised to do so, but never did, hence the problem. If he played like a 100m player at the level of Bernardo Silva or De Bruyne Barca would be happy to keep him.

Madrid are trying to get Modric to renew on yet another reduced wage. No one cares outside Spain about that one it seems.

Because RM do not use public pressure on their players like Barto an Laporta do at FCB. Also, RM sell their players with no problems. I just found out that we are still playing half of Lenglet's salary at Spurs. That is ridiculous. We still have Pjanic here smh he is old slow and sucks. RM sign players and sell players all the time. They don't pressure players in the media. Funny RM players do take salary cuts at FCB we have delayed payments then want cuts.

BEFORE you sign a bunch of new players (most of who are not that great and don't fit what we need) you need to sell players and not be on the hook for any of their salary like Lenglet ridiculous we pay him 95,000 a week and he is still not sold he will come back like Pjanic.)

We could have Haaland again and we could have kept Messi but not Laporta and Xavi want Lewi Depay Auba etc...

Remember we could have had Haaland twice and said no we could have had Davies and said no we could have Mbappe and picked Demble etc etc etc

Finally succeeded. Clap for them.

You are just twerking for them. You should go support them.

Looking worse and worse for Laporta
Will get laughed out the court on this latest development

Could have stayed with 2-3 new names like Lewa, Christensen and Kessie and get under the cap while selling off TV rights as planned yet chose nuclear option and putting Frenkie on the spot of whether he'll be happy playing the harbinger of doom when they can't register any of the 6 new contracts because of his Barto deal

Absolutely disgusting and could really pay for calling Tebas bluff on not relaxing FFP for them 2nd summer in a row

If Barca fails to have short term succes in La Liga and CL, Laporta is going to leave a bigger mess then Barto. Huge risks taken and still not meeting FFP requirements.

This is getting ludicrous and embarrassing now:

"More astutely, the current administration of Joan Laporta and co. have found the contract extension handed to Frenkie de Jong by Josep Bartomeu to be illegal.

They want the Dutchman to revert to previous terms ? those before the extension in October 2020, otherwise, they are willing to press charges."

Who will they press charges on. EVEN if it was illegal which it was NOT. SMH this is pathetic desperation. What has happened to this once great club. Are they trying to scare these players the players did nothing illegal (and to be fair neither did Barto). This is pathetic hooliganism.

If you do not have the money DO NOT SIGN ANY MORE NEW PLAYERS. How hard is that to understand: Raphina Lewy Depay Auba Kessie Christenson Kounde --- are they going to ask Lewy to take a pay cut...

this is beyond incompetence now
