Bartomeu was under threat to sell Messi but he never did, he was ready to go to court to keep Messi and handled all pressure masterfully, under Laporta he lied to us that his sole objective was to keep Messi at the one chance he got he gave him away for free..

I don't blame him too much for the situation we're in but I don't have much faith in him getting us out of it. Unless there is a golden gen coming through La Masia, next 5-6 years will be grim.
