Great interview by Laporta. Glad he recognized the position he took with Koeman wasn't fortunate, while also stressing that the way we lost the league was unacceptable.

He's a politician who fought against Bartomeu's board. Of couse he'd say it's worse than imagined, makes his achievements appear bigger. Wouldn't read too much into it, even though it surely is rough.

Lol Laporta like the headmaster stepping in to tell jeering socios to keep their cool during the general assembly. They'd been booing & shouting at ex-VP Jordi Moix, who was running through previous financial results

If any of you can post a transcript of Laporta's full interview it would be greatly appreciated. Getting blocked by the paywall again.

Not really, he can rack up domestic trophies, conquer France, and either win CL or at least be competitive in it. Or he can stay and enjoy the annual CL humiliations and focus on the copa del rey.

I don't know why you want Messi at QSG so bad. Ligue 1 is insignificant, winning trophies there and being a top scorer in that league means nothing. Also, QSG's best chance at the CL was last year and this year, i think it's over for them in the next years.

Looks like we will get a 525m loan from Goldman Sachs to refinance the debt.

Basically use the money to pay off our short term and some ofthe medium term debts nd turn them into long-term debt.

Also:

Edward Romeo: The loan money will be used to terminate the contracts of some players if necessary

Bar?a assembly approves a €525m loan to help club move forward. Will go towards making payments for past transfers, wages etc but Laporta says won't be used for new signings. It's a 15-year loan with three percent interest
