João Laporta

Laporta needs to look after his health. A healthy mind resides within a healthy body. At the moment he looks like a heart attack about to happen.
The club was in a bad spot before but this lack of qualification despite huge investment is catastrophic. Time to change the manager.

Laporta also 'backed' Koeman shortly before sacking him.

Romero said we want to hire Flick or Tuchel and make Xavi assistant coach so it seems they are thinking about the change, likely if we fall behind in LaLiga he will be sacked.

It may hurt Xavis ego a bit too much since he has always having been a winner, a leader, only to be demoted to play second fiddle at the club. Doubt he would accept it.

Probably if that ends up materialising Xavi will decline to become assistant and be sacked instead.

Don't see the point in keeping him in that role anyway as there will be a new coach that wants to introduce their style of play likely starting fresh.

Fucking clown Laporta backed Xavi. There's alot more pain ahead for Barca fans.

Of course he would say that publicly, especially before the El Clasico. To say anything otherwise would be stupid and suicidal.

Whether he meant it or not, we don't know. There might be stuff brewing that we just don't know about.

He's a bum who led Bayern to a sextuplet, just like Pep.

meh, he didn't build that team. and it was the Covid CL, where he didn't play 2 legs.

di mateo also won a CL with Chelsea.

i'd wager even zidane would fail when having to build a team on his own. but he got his glory and now is waiting for deschamps to get fired in order to retire.

Xavi won't go anyway unless we bomb away LaLiga by end of winter break. Of course Laporta will be looking at contingencies right now though.

I say we see out the departure of the sacred cows and seriously study a more profilic managerial option next season. The none renewal of Busquets is a must, and we don't want to give any of the four hope with new manager syndrome right now.

A name outside of the system might turn right back to them for experience. Especially with no CL big games on the calender.

Think what someone like Valverde would do.

Some people around here would only pick Pep or Klopp. Some would moan even with Pep and say he can't do it in Europe without Messi.

i for one don't have an issue with other names. but let's get a manager who has a philosophy, who can build squads, maybe an up and coming manager. not bumsy fucking flick, who already retired from top football management.
